Market Analysis & Zakat (Nisab) Overview

The silver (Chandi) market in Pakistan on 07 June 2026 is trading at approximately Rs. 7,200 per tola. The market remained relatively stable during weekend trading, with bullion dealers closely monitoring international precious metals prices and currency movements.

Global silver prices continue to be influenced by industrial demand, inflation expectations, central bank policies, and fluctuations in the US dollar. Silver remains an important industrial metal due to its extensive use in solar panels, electronics, electric vehicles, and advanced manufacturing sectors.

In Pakistan, local silver rates are largely determined by international bullion trends and exchange-rate movements. Market participants reported balanced buying activity from both investors and jewellery consumers across major cities including Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Rawalpindi and Faisalabad.

Based on today’s market rate, the Islamic silver Nisab threshold of 52.5 tolas is estimated at approximately Rs. 378,000. This benchmark is commonly used for determining Zakat eligibility on accumulated savings and wealth held for one lunar year.

Analysts expect silver prices to remain sensitive to global economic developments, inflation data and precious metals demand. While short-term fluctuations are possible, long-term fundamentals continue to support investor interest in silver as both an industrial commodity and a store of value.
