Islamabad: Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman has demanded that the government stop stopping the Balochistan Rights March in Muzaffargarh and allow Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman to continue his peaceful long march.

Addressing a press conference in Islamabad, Hafiz Naeem said that this long march is the voice of the oppressed people of Balochistan and is being held completely within the constitutional and democratic framework. He said that the government should not obstruct this march because we are talking about the constitutional and human rights of the people of Pakistan.

He said that Balochistan is rich in mineral resources but its citizens are still deprived of basic facilities like gas. “There is a deep sense of deprivation among the people of Balochistan, which is the need of the hour to end,” Hafiz Naeem said.

He said that Jamaat-e-Islami is trying to unite the entire country and some elements are deliberately creating misunderstandings. “We are ready to cooperate at all levels for peace in the tribal areas,” he added.

On this occasion, he expressed deep concern over the situation in Gaza and said that the silence of the Muslim world is regrettable. “The blood of innocent children is being shed in Gaza, and if the Muslim world speaks up, a solution can be found at the global level.”
