Consumers across Lahore are seeing updated poultry prices after the district administration released the latest official chicken rate list for 03 April 2026.
As per the government notification, the retail price of chicken meat has been fixed at Rs. 411 per kg, while the live broiler rate is set at Rs. 397 per kg. The farm-issued rate remains Rs. 383 per kg, which serves as the base reference for wholesale transactions.
The updated price list also includes rates for poultry chicks and eggs. Officials have fixed the price of small chicks at Rs. 59 per bird, while day-old chicks are being sold at Rs. 67.80.
For households and retailers, the egg rate has been set at Rs. 230 per dozen, offering some stability in food prices amid fluctuating market conditions.
The administration has urged shopkeepers to strictly follow the notified rates and warned against overpricing.
Officials say strict market monitoring teams are continuing inspections to ensure compliance throughout Lahore.
