DIG Motorways Central Zone Syed Farid Ali has issued important instructions to ensure the safety and discipline of passengers while traveling on highways in an important meeting with transporter owners.
According to a Motorway Police spokesperson, DIG Syed Farid Ali clarified that now only those buses will be able to enter the motorway and highways in which dash cameras are installed, while their access will also be given to the Motorway Police so that immediate action can be taken in case of accidents or violations.
He further directed that all transporters should clearly affix the fitness certificate on the screen of their vehicles and keep the fog lights in proper condition before the foggy season. The DIG warned that a zero tolerance policy will be followed for dropping or picking up passengers at any place on the highways except bus stops.
Syed Farid Ali said that there is a complete ban on the use of illegal CNG in small vehicles and strict action will be taken in case of violation. He directed that the bus staff should behave politely with the passengers and ensure immediate action in case of complaints.
According to the Motorway Police spokesperson, the DIG also listened to the problems of the transporters during the meeting and issued orders for immediate steps to resolve them.
