Tehran: The regional balance appears to be deteriorating further after the US targeted three Iranian nuclear facilities. Iran has confirmed that sensitive nuclear facilities in Natanz, Arak, and Qom were attacked, with the interior and exterior of Fordow severely damaged.
Iranian officials say that the facilities were evacuated “as a precaution” some time ago, which did not result in the loss of human lives, but the infrastructure was definitely damaged. The deputy governor of Qom clarified that the attacks were a direct action of the enemy, while the air defense system in Isfahan was immediately activated to respond.
According to analysts, Iran’s claim that the facilities were empty is part of a deliberate strategic response in order to keep the crisis under control.
