During an important press briefing in Islamabad, Ishaq Dar said that due to Pakistan’s efforts, several rounds of comprehensive and constructive talks were held between high-level delegations of the two countries, in which important issues related to regional tensions, global security and mutual relations were discussed in detail.

He said that the US delegation was led by Vice President JD Vance, while the Iranian delegation was led by Speaker Baqir Qalibaf. Terming these talks as a positive diplomatic development, he said that both sides had open-hearted discussions and expressed their determination to reduce tensions in the region.

Ishaq Dar added that the participation of delegations from both countries was possible at the special request of the Prime Minister, which is a clear expression of Pakistan’s diplomatic trust. He said that he and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir played an active role in this process so that effective communication could be maintained between the two countries.

According to the Foreign Minister, Pakistan’s top priority is the establishment of peace in the region, and only resolving all disputes through negotiations and diplomatic means can guarantee lasting stability.

He also stressed that the maintenance of the ceasefire is very important because it can become the basis for sustainable peace, economic prosperity and regional cooperation in the future.

Ishaq Dar said that both the US and Iran appreciated Pakistan’s positive and balanced role, for which Pakistan is grateful. He expressed the hope that both countries will move forward the dialogue process with a positive mindset so that peace and prosperity can be promoted in the region and the entire world.
