Pakistan Dominates Day Two of the Multan Test

Multan: Pakistan took a huge 202-run lead at the end of the second day of the first Test match between Pakistan and the West Indies. In their second attempt at the Multan Cricket Stadium, Pakistan had made 109 runs but lost three wickets. The game was over at that point.

Due to lack of light, play was stopped early, and stops were called soon after. Saud Shakeel and Kamran Ghulam were still at the box and scored 2 and 9 runs, respectively.

Shan Masood, Pakistan’s captain, led the way with a fifty, getting 52 runs in their second game. Mohammad Haris scored 29 runs, but captain Babar Azam was out for only 5 runs.

In the first game of the day, the West Indies were bowled out for 137 runs. The visiting team’s batting order was smashed in just 25.2 overs by Pakistani spinners. Nauman Ali got five wickets, Sajid Khan got four, and Abrar Ahmed got one.

Low-order hitters stood out for the West Indies. Gudakesh Motie made 19 runs, Jayden Seales scored 22, and Jomel Warrican scored 31. But none of the hitters in the top order scored more than 11 runs, and six players didn’t even get to 10 runs.

Highlights of Pakistan’s First Innings
Earlier in the day, 230 runs were scored in Pakistan’s first test. When the game started again at 143 for 4, Saud Shakeel and Mohammad Rizwan tried to make a big score. Saud Shakeel was out after getting 84 runs, and Rizwan made an important 71 runs before he was out.

The other batters had a hard time and only made short efforts. Both Nauman Ali and Abrar Ahmed didn’t score, but Sajid Khan did. Pakistan’s turn at bat went 68.5 overs.

Jayden Seales and Jomel Warrican did a great job for the West Indies by taking three wickets each, and Kevin Sinclair took two. It was Gudakesh Motie who took one wicket.

Pakistan has a big lead after day two, which puts them in a good situation to handle the rest of the match.
