Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has said that Pakistan is moving towards political stability and economic strength. He said that the economy is improving day by day and the growth rate is increasing.
Addressing the 49th Foreign Ministers’ Meeting of the United Nations Group of 77 in New York, he said that Pakistan abides by international laws and the IMF and the World Bank are playing a positive role in the development of developing countries.
Ishaq Dar said that Pakistan is facing major challenges due to climate change. The 2022 floods caused widespread damage, while the recent 2025 floods severely affected the agricultural sector.
Meanwhile, Ishaq Dar met with Slovenian Deputy Prime Minister Tanja Faivin and discussed bilateral relations. According to a Foreign Office spokesperson, Pakistan and Slovenia have agreed to increase cooperation in investment, trade, education and cultural exchanges.
