The Prime Minister said that according to the oil prices in the international market, the price of petrol in Pakistan today should have been Rs 544 per liter, however, the government is providing it at Rs 322.

Similarly, the price of diesel is Rs 790 per liter in international terms, but it is being given to the people at Rs 335 per liter. He clarified that the government’s top priority is to provide relief to the people.

PM Shahbaz Sharif said that in the current global situation, the prices of petroleum products have doubled in many countries, but the government in Pakistan has made every effort to minimize the impact of this inflation on the people. He said that these steps are not easy but are being taken in the public interest.

The Prime Minister said in his address that the most important thing for him is the economic security of the people and the government is taking every possible step for this purpose. He said that despite the financial challenges facing the government, providing relief to the people is a difficult but necessary decision.

He appealed to the people to show patience and unity in the current situation. He said that only national unity makes the country strong in difficult times and the government stands with the people.
