Praising the leadership of Saudi Arabia, Shehbaz Sharif said that Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s wise leadership and his steadfast commitment to regional peace were an important factor during the crisis. He also thanked Saudi Arabia for its support for Pakistan’s peace efforts.

According to the Prime Minister, the two leaders agreed that the upcoming negotiations between Iran and the United States should continue in a positive manner and caution must be exercised against any move that could harm the peace process.

Under the recent agreement, Washington and Tehran have set a framework for concluding talks within 60 days on ending the war, restoring the Strait of Hormuz and various controversial issues. The agreement is being described as a significant step towards stability in the region.

The prime minister also expressed satisfaction with the bilateral relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia and said that Islamabad is looking forward to further progress in the areas of economic cooperation and investment with Riyadh in the future. Defense, energy and economic cooperation between the two countries are already on a solid footing.

Political and economic experts say that if the talks between Iran and the US are successful, it will not only bring stability to the Middle East but is also expected to improve global oil markets, investment and trade activities. Pakistan’s mediation and diplomatic role is being seen as an important factor in this progress.
