Addressing the meeting of the Working Group established for tax reforms, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif said that the government always values the responsibilities of the tax-paying business class, industrialists and companies. He said that private sector experts have presented several comprehensive and technical proposals to improve the economic structure.
The Prime Minister announced that a special committee is being formed under the chairmanship of the Finance Minister to implement these proposals. This committee will review the recommendations of experts and prepare an actionable policy on them soon.
PM Shehbaz Sharif further said that the current government has been taking continuous steps since day one to increase exports and accelerate economic activities. According to him, making the business environment in the country stable and competitive on a long-term basis is the government’s top priority.
