Islamabad: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Omar Ayub has strongly criticized the current government, alleging that its policies have led to a significant financial drain and mass migration of youth. Speaking to the media alongside other PTI leaders in Parliament, Ayub claimed that due to the government’s mismanagement, $27 billion has flowed out of the country, while two million young Pakistanis have left in search of better opportunities abroad.
He further elaborated that these individuals paid an estimated PKR 4 million each to move overseas, which, when converted to dollars, sums up to $27 billion. “On the other hand, we are taking a begging bowl to the IMF for a mere $1.5 billion,” he remarked, highlighting the country’s economic struggles.
Ayub also questioned why influential political figures like Asif Ali Zardari and the Sharif family have not been held accountable, while PTI leaders such as Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Ijaz Chaudhry, Mian Mehmood-ur-Rasheed, and others remain behind bars. “Hassan Niazi and many of our workers are political prisoners.
