Islamabad: PTI leader Shibli Faraz condemned the economic crisis in Pakistan by assigning blame to former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and President Asif Zardari. At his Islamabad press conference, Faraz explained that a lack of rule-based governance acts as Pakistan’s primary barrier to foreign investment and general development.
The lack of both law supremacy and peace ensures that investors will never choose Pakistan for investment. The current state of Pakistan was created by those individuals who took control of the country through mismanagement and corruption, according to Faraz. Nawaz Sharif and Asif Zardari received the blame from Faraz for Pakistan’s economic deterioration because he believes their decisions created the nation’s desperate situation.
The detaining of PTI founder and previous Prime Minister Imran Khan drew criticism from Faraz, who argued this decision reflected political interference. According to him, “An incompetent leadership has taken control of key government positions after imprisoning the country’s most popular leader, who founded PTI.”
During his address, the PTI leader held the PPP and PML-N responsible for selling national assets into debt. According to Khan, the governing political party supports the sale of profitable public institutions while choosing to keep unprofitable organizations. The government chooses to dispose of profitable institutions while preserving those that continuously make losses. His statement concluded that politics, which produces such outcomes, leads to exploitation instead of governance.
The power sector conditions had deteriorated severely, according to Faraz, who held the government responsible for pushing it toward collapse. When interests that threaten them appear, the institutions establish legal measures to protect themselves. The power sector now stands at the brink of complete destruction, according to him.
