Rs 250 billion development package for Balochistan, promise of transparent spending: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif
Quetta: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has announced the allocation of special funds of Rs 250 billion for the development of Balochistan. This amount will be one-fourth of the country’s total development budget of Rs 1,000 billion.
Addressing the Grand Jirga in Quetta, he said that the development funds will be spent transparently, and efforts will be made to solve real problems by including local elders in decision-making.
The Prime Minister said that those people of Balochistan who have become angry and distanced themselves from the mainstream need to be brought back so that lasting peace can be established in the province.
Reiterating his resolve against terrorism, Shehbaz Sharif said that terrorists are the enemies of Pakistan’s development and tools of external forces. He said that the nation is united and stands with the Pakistani army.
