Shortage of high-speed diesel in the country, petrol pump dealers have expressed concerns in a letter

Expressing concern over the ongoing shortage of high-speed diesel, the Petrol Pump Dealers Association has written a detailed letter to the concerned authorities, in which it has been said that diesel supply has not been happening as per normal at various places across the country for the past one week.

According to the letter, diesel is not being supplied in the quantity stipulated under the quota, due to which petrol pumps are failing to meet their daily targets. Dealers say that this situation has not only affected business activities but also caused severe hardship to the public.

The letter further states that vehicles are having to stand in lines for hours to get diesel, while the supply schedule is also being affected due to lack of stock at several pumps.

The Dealers Association has expressed fears that an attempt is being made to create an artificial shortage in the market, and if timely measures are not taken, the situation may worsen.
