According to the latest statistics of the Pakistan Automotive Manufacturers Association (PAMA), a total of three hundred and one thousand four hundred and ninety-nine In commercial vehicles, 913 trucks, 127 buses and 2,191 tractors were sold during the two months. Along with this, 5,639 three-wheelers (changchi and rickshaws) were also sold.
The motorcycle sector also saw an extraordinary increase, where 266,962 motorcycles were sold in the current two months, which is 45 percent more than last year. 573 electric motorcycles also came into the market during this period.
According to experts, this performance of the auto industry reflects the increasing trend of consumers with the improvement in the country’s economy, however, the sale of electric vehicles is still at a limited level.
