The Punjab Government’s Market Committee Lahore has released the latest official price lists for vegetables, fruits, and poultry on 27 October 2025.
The new rates indicate that onion is being sold at Rs. 115 per kilogram, while tomato stands at Rs. 185 per kilogram. Similarly, ginger (China) has been priced between Rs. 610 and Rs. 640, and garlic (Desi) between Rs. 390 and Rs. 410 per kilogram. The rates for potato, spinach, cucumber, and other local vegetables have remained largely stable in the city markets.
In the fruit category, apple Kala Kulu Pahari is priced between Rs. 317 and Rs. 340 per kilogram, and orange kinnow (new crop) between Rs. 247 and Rs. 260 per kilogram. Other fruits including banana, guava, and pomegranate are also being sold at reasonable rates as per the official list. Traders said that seasonal arrivals are helping stabilize fruit prices across major markets of Lahore.
The official notification for poultry prices shows that the live broiler chicken rate has been fixed at Rs. 298 per kilogram, while broiler meat is being sold for Rs. 432 per kilogram. The price of farm eggs is set at Rs. 333 per dozen.
The Punjab Government has urged citizens to verify rates from the official list and immediately report any violation to the toll-free complaint number 0800-02345.
