Karachi : The nation-wide increase in gold prices caused the value of one tola gold to reach Rs 301,500 in Lahore. All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Association states that gold prices have surged Rs 1,500 per tola representing the highest weekly increment in recent times. The price of 10 grams of gold experienced an increase of Rs 1286 leading to its new market value becoming Rs 258,487.

Globally, gold prices rose by $12 to $2,869 per ounce.

Experts state that worldwide economic chaos and currency marketplace changes and investment market direction drive this price rise. The increasing price of gold matters to customers who enjoy jewelry and those who buy gold as an investment due to its dual application as both fashion accessory and financial tool. People consider gold as a secure investment option.
