PSX sees weekly bullish trend, 100 index closes with 996 points increase

The Pakistan Stock Exchange witnessed an overall positive trend during the trading week, where the market remained bullish due to investor interest. At the end of the week, the KSE 100 index closed at 172,400 points after increasing 996 points.

According to the data, the highest level of the 100 index on a weekly basis was 172,583 points, while the lowest level was 170,641 points. During this time, the index remained in a band of about 1942 points, which reflects the volatility in the market.

During the business week, a total of 2.94 billion shares were traded in the market, worth Rs 126 billion. Due to investor activity, there was also an increase in market capitalization.

According to the report, the total market value increased by Rs 7 billion in a week to Rs 19,464 billion, which analysts are calling a positive signal for the market.
