US Dollar Rate in Pakistan Today – Latest Interbank and Open Market Rates

The Pakistani rupee is showing limited movement against the US dollar. The gap between interbank and open market rates remains narrow. The latest market data also shows relative stability in dollar buying and selling rates.
In the interbank market, the US dollar is trading at Rs 277.25 for buying and Rs 277.75 for selling. Banks, businesses and financial institutions closely monitor this market. They use interbank rates for import payments and major financial transactions.
In the open market, the dollar is available at Rs 278.05 for buying and Rs 278.55 for selling. The difference between the two markets remains limited. Exchange companies and cities may quote slightly different rates.
Several economic factors influence the rupee’s direction. These include import demand, external debt repayments, exports, remittances and foreign currency availability. Global movements in the US dollar also affect local exchange markets.
Importers closely watch the dollar rate because foreign currencies influence the cost of energy, machinery and industrial raw materials. A stronger dollar raises import costs for Pakistani businesses. Stable exchange rates, however, help companies plan payments and expenses with greater certainty.
Overseas Pakistanis also follow currency movements because the dollar rate affects the rupee value of their remittances. However, inflation, household expenses and wider economic conditions also determine the overall impact.
Remittance flows, export performance, import demand and external financing will influence the currency market’s future direction. Consumers and businesses should check the latest rates before making currency transactions. Exchange companies may revise their rates during market hours.
