During the trading session, the share prices of 173 companies increased, 300 decreased, while the prices of 28 companies remained unchanged. These figures indicate widespread selling pressure in the market.

Overall, the month of October proved to be negative for the Pakistan Stock Market. The KSE-100 index fell by about 3,500 points on a monthly basis.

The highest level of the index during the month was 170,688 points, while the lowest level was 161,250 points.

The decline on the last day after the surge in recent trading sessions indicates that investors preferred to sell shares to take profits. However, the overall market trend will be determined by the buying and selling pressure in the upcoming trading sessions.
