Petrol and diesel prices hiked again

Petrol and diesel prices have been increased once again in the country, after which the prices of both products have reached a new high.

According to the issued notification, the price of petrol has been increased by Rs 4.42 per liter, after which the new price has been fixed at Rs 380.24 per liter.

High-speed diesel has also been made more expensive by Rs 6.10 per liter. After the increase, the new price of diesel has become Rs 409.42 per liter.

The new prices will be implemented from 12 midnight on September 15. The government has taken this decision in the context of changes in the prices of petroleum products in the global market.

The latest increase is likely to put further pressure on transport and business costs in the country, while the increase in diesel prices may also affect the prices of freight and daily commodities.
