Petrol and diesel prices increased for September 16

The government has increased the prices of petrol and diesel for September 16, with the revised rates taking effect from midnight.
According to an official notification, the price of diesel has been raised by Rs 6.41 per litre. Petrol has also become more expensive, with an increase of Rs 4.10 per litre.
Following the latest adjustment, petrol will be available at Rs 384.34 per litre, while the new price of diesel has been set at Rs 415.83 per litre.
The notification said the revised rates would come into force after midnight and remain applicable on September 16.
The increase is likely to add to transport and operating costs, particularly for sectors that rely heavily on diesel. Petrol prices also have a direct impact on daily commuting and household expenses.
