Minsk: Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif visited a major industrial factory producing heavy machinery and vehicles located near Minsk, the capital of Belarus, where he was given a detailed briefing.

The Prime Minister was informed that the factory has been manufacturing mining equipment since 1948, vehicle parts since 1951, and heavy trucks since 1958, while electric and hybrid trucks have also been manufactured here in recent years. The Prime Minister was also informed that some of the products manufactured by the factory have also been exported to Pakistan. On the occasion, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif said that Pakistan is interested in acquiring modern, sustainable, and quality machinery for industrial development and wants to further promote cooperation with Belarus.

He invited Belarusian Prime Minister Alexander Turchin to visit Pakistan, to which the Belarusian counterpart expressed his gratitude and said that he would gladly accept the visit. These discussions between the two leaders can become a precursor to a new era of bilateral industrial cooperation.
