Basant Season: Strict control by the administration, only registered strings and kites will be sold

Ahead of the Basant festival, the district administration has imposed strict regulations for the manufacture and sale of kites and strings, keeping in mind law and order and the safety of citizens. In this regard, the registration date of manufacturers and traders has been extended to February 8.
The administration says that the purpose of registration is to regulate the market and stop the sale of dangerous or substandard strings. According to officials, only registered businessmen will be able to legally sell kites and strings.
According to sources, this step was taken in view of the permission to import from other cities and the increase in supply so that prices remain under control and consumers do not have to face inflation.
Administrative officers clarified that heavy fines and legal action will be taken in case of violation, while continuous monitoring of the markets will also be carried out during Basant.

Citizens have welcomed the decision and expressed hope that it will end artificial inflation and hoarding. According to security experts, “Registration and monitoring will reduce the use of dangerous ropes and the rate of accidents can be reduced.”
