Crude oil prices have been recorded in the global market, the main reason for which is the fear of oil supply disruption in the Middle East and security threats to important shipping routes. Concerns about Saudi Arabia’s energy facilities have also increased the uncertainty in the global energy market.
According to the world news agency Reuters, the price of Brent crude oil futures contracts reached $ 1.61 cents, or about 1.5 percent, on Wednesday, October 21, after an increase of 1.5 percent, to $ 110.40 per barrel. The price of US crude oil West Texas Intermediate (WTI) also rose by $1.45 to $99.27 per barrel. These prices were reported during the trading session.
According to reports, concerns about the security of commercial ships in the Red Sea and the Gulf region have focused traders’ attention on potential supply disruptions. Threats to Saudi Arabia’s oil facilities and possible difficulties in maritime transportation are putting pressure on prices in the global market. A decline in crude oil inventories in the US has also supported prices.
The future trend of prices in the global market may be affected by the security situation in the Middle East, possible disruptions in oil shipments and progress in diplomatic efforts. If supplies are affected, energy costs are likely to increase for countries dependent on imported oil. However, the impact of global price increases on local petrol and diesel prices will also depend on relevant government decisions and other costs.
