Gold prices in Pakistan have risen again after a day of decline. The local gold price per tola in the local bullion market recorded an increase of Rs 4,300.
According to the All Pakistan Bullion Gems and Jewellers Association, after the latest increase, one tola of gold was worth Rs 441,636. Thus, the price of the precious metal has regained a large part of the previous day’s decline.
The price of 10 grams of gold was also affected by the increase. Its price increased by Rs 3,686 to Rs 378,631. For consumers buying jewellery, this increase means that the cost of even small-weight jewellery may be higher than before.
Along with the increase in local gold prices, positive movement was also seen in the global market. The price of gold per ounce in the international market increased from $43 to $4,191.
Changes in global prices are considered important for Pakistan’s bullion market. However, local rates are not determined by global prices alone. Other market factors can also affect daily prices.
Interestingly, a day ago, the price of gold per tola in Pakistan had fallen by Rs 800. The recent increase has pushed the market back up after this short decline.
In the current situation, it has become more important for buyers to know the daily rates. Especially people buying jewellery for weddings and other occasions can be affected by even a slight change in price.
On the other hand, the direction of the global market is also important for people investing in gold. The increase or decrease of one business day does not provide a definitive picture of the future trend, so it is more useful to view the continuous change in prices in the context of a few sessions.
After the recent increase, gold per tola in the local market has reached Rs 441,636, while its price in the global market was recorded at $4,191 per ounce.
