Karachi: The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) experienced a powerful upward movement that elevated the PSX-100 index to 113,088 after a gain of 1,344 points.
Trading activities during the session showed great movement as 540.5 million shares exchanged while the price range remained between 1,610 points and resulted in a total transaction value of PKR 20.74 billion.
The stock exchange market capitalisation rose by PKR 161 billion to reach PKR 13,948 billion. Market analysts link the index rise to stable economic conditions, increasing foreign investments, and growth in banking, cement, and energy sectors.
Market participants expect positive developments based on incoming economic statistics together with corporate financial performance data.
