Caution required in SIM and mobile usage, PTA issues new instructions for users

The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority has issued instructions to mobile users to exercise complete caution in using their SIMs and devices, as the responsibility for any wrong or illegal activity lies with the registered user.
According to the authority, users are required to comply with all telecom rules and regulations, otherwise legal action can be taken in case of violation. PTA clarified that the SIM should be used only by the person in whose name it is registered.
PTA says that responsible use is not only necessary for the personal safety of users but also maintains the security and transparency of the national telecommunication network.
The authority has advised users to keep an eye on their SIMs and mobile devices and immediately report any suspicious activity to the relevant authorities so that the system can be kept secure and stable.
