Efforts to make air travel cheaper, PIA and MCB collaborate, special ticket offer for card users

In view of the rising travel costs, Pakistan International Airlines has introduced a new promotional scheme to provide relief to its customers, through which MCB Bank cardholders are being given a significant discount on the ticket price.
According to the airline, passengers will be able to pay up to 10 percent less on the original price of their ticket by taking advantage of this special offer. The discount limit has been set at Rs 10,000 per transaction, while this facility will be available only until March 31, 2026.
PIA officials say that each card can be used to get a discount on a maximum of two tickets in a month. In addition, this discount will not be applicable on taxes, service charges or other fees, but will be given only on the basic fare.
The administration has also indicated that this offer may not be available on certain flights, routes or during busy periods. The company will have the right to change the terms and conditions or temporarily stop the offer.
Passengers say that such discounts can be helpful in making travel easier in the current era of inflation, especially for domestic flights.
