PSX ends the week in positive territory as KSE-100 gains 399 points

The business on the Pakistan Stock Exchange ended on a positive note on Friday and the benchmark KSE-100 index rose 399.14 points.

According to the Pakistan Stock Exchange, the KSE-100 index closed at 175,328.82 points after a rise of 0.23 percent. The index was at 174,929.68 points in the previous trading session.

The market was also volatile during the trading session. The KSE-100 index reached a high of 175,418.29 points for the day, while the low was 174,515.38 points. Thus, the index remained in the range of about 903 points during the day.

A total of 874.32 million shares were traded in the market. The value of these transactions was Rs 32.42 billion. According to Pakistan Stock Exchange data, shares of 569 companies were traded on Friday. Of these, 235 companies increased in price while 218 companies decreased in price. The share prices of 116 companies remained unchanged.

The latest trading data shows that the buying trend prevailed in the market on Friday. A slight but continuous improvement in the KSE-100 Index provided a positive end to the overall market.
