Pakistan Stock Exchange hits new high; the 100 index hits record growth

Karachi: The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) created a new history by performing brilliantly on the second day of the trading week. The market witnessed a huge rally and the 100 index rose by 998 points during the trading session, reaching a high of 1,47,976 points at one point.

At the end of the session, the 100 index closed at 1,47,005 points, up 75 points, while 690 million shares were traded during the trading session, with a total value of Rs 44 billion.

According to experts, the continued positive trend of the stock market during August is the result of investor confidence and better economic indicators.
