Pakistan and Iran Agree to Expand Trade Volume to $10 Billion: Ishaq Dar

Islamabad: Speaking at the Pakistan-Iran Business Forum held in Islamabad, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar welcomed the bilateral initiative and said that Pakistan is committed to further strengthening trade and investment ties with Iran. He said that the relations between the two countries are based on religion, culture, and brotherhood, and this foundation can become an important pillar for expanding bilateral trade.

According to Ishaq Dar, a trade target of $10 billion has been agreed upon between Pakistan and Iran, and all available opportunities need to be utilized to achieve it. He also stressed that both countries must remove trade barriers in their path so that economic development is possible. The Foreign Minister said that Pakistan’s economy is on the path of improvement and providing a conducive environment for investors is among the government’s priorities.
