Global Economic Pressure: PM Shehbaz Assures Sufficient Fuel Stocks Amid Regional Tensions

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has voiced concerns over the deepening global economic crisis triggered by regional tensions, warning of its potential “deep impact” on Pakistan’s economy. However, he assured the nation that the government’s diplomatic and economic teams have successfully secured adequate supplies of crude oil.

Fuel Security & Price Control Despite the uncertainty in international markets, the Prime Minister confirmed that Pakistan has a suitable quantity of crude oil to meet national requirements. To prevent exploitation, federal and provincial authorities have been directed to jointly monitor the markets.

“We are ensuring that no one is allowed to charge a single penny above the government-fixed rates,” the PM asserted, adding that strict action will be taken against price gouging and artificial inflation.

A Hope for Global Stability The Prime Minister expressed hope for the de-escalation of international conflicts, praying for the stabilization of petroleum prices in the global market. He reiterated that the government’s “timely policy-making” is the primary reason Pakistan remains resilient against current external shocks.
