Hope for improvement in Pakistan-Bangladesh relations, Maulana Fazlur Rehman addresses Dhaka

JUI-F Ameer Maulana Fazlur Rehman, while addressing the World Khatm-e-Nabuwwat Conference, said that there is always room for positive progress in relations between Pakistan and Bangladesh, and the two countries should further expand this cooperation in the future.

He said that he had come to Dhaka with a message of “goodwill, love and respect” from Pakistan and intended to return with the same spirit. Maulana Fazlur Rehman said in his address that the two Islamic countries have religious, historical and people-to-people ties that need to be further strengthened.

He said that “if the people of Bangladesh move towards us, the people of Pakistan will respond to their love,” to which the hall erupted in applause. He said that this gathering has proven that the spirit of closeness and brotherhood between the two countries at the public level has always been alive.

Maulana Fazlur Rehman expressed the hope that today’s large gathering will not only become a symbol of religious unity but will also lay the foundation for new, strong and lasting relations between Pakistan and Bangladesh.
