Iran FM Araghchi Calls for Regional Unity Against US-Israel Escalation

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has issued a stern call for regional unity, urging neighbouring countries to collaborate against what he described as “destabilising” manoeuvres by the United States and Israel.

According to Iranian state media, Araghchi emphasised that the responsibility for escalating tensions in the Middle East lies squarely with the US-Israeli alliance. He characterised recent attacks on Iranian infrastructure as calculated provocations designed to spark a wider conflict rather than isolated military actions.

The Foreign Minister adopted a defiant tone, asserting that Iran remains fully prepared to safeguard its national interests. “Iran will leave no stone unturned in defending its sovereignty and territorial security,” Araghchi stated, signalling that Tehran’s response to any perceived aggression would be comprehensive.

Araghchi’s plea for regional cooperation underscores Iran’s current diplomatic strategy to isolate its adversaries by building a collective security framework within the Middle East. Analysts suggest these statements are a direct response to the heightened military and diplomatic pressure currently facing the Islamic Republic.
