Punjab Admin on High Alert Against Bus Fare Hike Before Eid

On the special instructions of the Chief Minister of Punjab, the provincial administration has tightened the siege on bus stands and transport unions. Special teams have been formed to crack down on elements taking advantage of the rush of passengers even before the start of the Eid holidays.

Deputy Commissioners have been directed to inspect the transport system on a daily basis and resolve the complaints of passengers on the spot. The Chief Minister stressed that providing convenience to the public is the top priority of the government, therefore, waiting areas at bus stands should be improved and all resources should be utilized to protect passengers from the scorching sun.
