Kerosene oil expensive: Another bad news for the public, new prices have been implemented

According to the latest notification issued by the government, the price of kerosene has been significantly increased by Rs 4.66 per litre. After this increase, the price of kerosene per litre has reached Rs 433.40, while earlier this price was Rs 428.74. The notification clarified that the new prices will be implemented immediately, which is aimed at meeting the gap between rising oil prices in the global market and import costs. This sudden increase has caused a wave of concern in public circles, especially in areas where gas facilities are not available.

Kerosene is considered a basic necessity for the country’s poorest sections of the population, so even a small increase in its price can have a significant impact on their household budgets. According to officials, the price hike was inevitable due to the global energy crisis and supply chain problems, but detailed data in this regard has not yet been provided. Civil society groups have demanded that the government provide subsidies to provide relief to the poor to reduce the hardship caused by rising energy costs.
