Meeting chaired by Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, two-week deadline set for “e-business” program

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz chaired a special meeting in Lahore, in which a detailed briefing was given on the “e-business” program running under the Pakistan IT Board (PITB).

She expressed happiness over the launch of the programme and set a two-week timeline and directed that all the concerned departments provide all types of approvals (NOC) under one roof within this period.

The meeting said that the district administration and departments that will take quick decisions on e-business applications will be given additional marks.

The Chief Minister announced that she herself will chair the review meeting related to “e-business” every fortnight.
Maryam Nawaz further said that eliminating “red tape” (long approval processes) is her top priority, and change is possible through e-business.
She said that it often takes years to get an NOC for business, which discourages individuals, so it is necessary to remove the weaknesses of the system.
The Chief Minister stressed that the public’s trust in the government and the system should be restored and the state should feel like a mother in the heart of every citizen.
