Holidays declared in Pakistan on December 25 and 26 — Ministry of Interior Notification

The Ministry of Interior has issued a formal notification and announced that December 25 will be an official holiday across the country on the occasion of the birth of the founder of Pakistan, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. According to the ministry, this time too, Quaid-e-Azam Day will be celebrated at the national level in a grand manner, like every year.

The notification further stated that in respect of the religious festival of the Christian community, the government has decided to declare December 26 as a holiday. This holiday will be only for Christian employees working in government and semi-government institutions, so that they can participate in Christmas-related activities with their families.

The government says that the notification regarding the holidays has been sent to all the relevant institutions.
