Pakistan Moon Sighting Confirms Jamadi-ul-Awwal 1447 AH to Begin October 24

The first day of Jamadi-ul-Awwal 1447 AH in Pakistan will be Thursday, October 24, following the successful sighting of the new moon across the country.

​The crucial announcement was made late this evening after a meeting of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, presided over by its Chairman, Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad.

​The Committee officially confirmed the sighting, stating that authenticated testimonies were received from various regions, including numerous cities across Balochistan, Sindh, and South Punjab.

​”After the testimony received from different parts of the country, it was decided in the meeting that Thursday, October 24, will be the first of Jamadi-ul-Awwal 1447 AH,” the Chairman formally announced, bringing to a close the preceding Islamic month and marking the start of the fifth month in the Islamic calendar.
