Pakistan to observe Kashmir Solidarity Day on February 5

Pakistan will observe a nationwide holiday on February 5 to observe Kashmir Solidarity Day, aimed at expressing solidarity with the people of Indian-administered Kashmir and their right to self-determination.
According to notifications issued by the federal and provincial governments, all government and private offices, educational institutions and most business centers will remain closed on that day so that citizens can fully participate in Kashmir Day-related activities.
Kashmir Solidarity Day is observed every year with the resolve that the Kashmiri people will not be left alone. On this day, alleged human rights violations in Indian-administered Kashmir are highlighted and the attention of the international community is drawn to the Kashmir issue.
On this occasion, rallies, seminars, and special prayers will be organized in various cities of the country, while human chains will also be formed as a symbol of national solidarity.
