Pakistan’s response to Iran-US tensions? PM calls National Security Meeting

Islamabad: At a time when the Middle East is on the verge of a possible global conflict, Pakistan has intensified the process of consultations at the diplomatic and security levels.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has called a crucial meeting of the National Security Committee tomorrow, which will be attended by the military leadership, heads of intelligence agencies, and top ministers. The agenda of the meeting is clear: a deep consideration of the growing tension between Iran and the US, the role of Israel, and the possible impact of all these factors on Pakistan.

According to analysts, the meeting will discuss Pakistan’s immediate foreign policy action plan as well as coordinating diplomatic efforts for peace in the region. This meeting is not just a security briefing but can also form the basis of a broader diplomatic policy.
