ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Energy Sardar Awais Ahmed Khan Leghari has assured that it will not take much time to provide relief to the people regarding electricity prices. A meeting of the Senate Standing Committee on Energy was briefed on the negotiations with the IPPs, which stated that the contracts of 6 IPPs have been terminated while the concession contracts of 8 bigas power plants have been made. The energy minister said that the result of these talks will directly benefit the people.
