President Asif Zardari addresses the nation, showing steadfastness in the face of an enemy five times bigger than Us

ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari has said that Pakistan not only gave a befitting reply to Indian aggression but also sent a message that no weakness will be tolerated in defending its sovereignty.

In his statement, President Zardari said that Pakistan responded to the provocation by India in a timely and effective manner, which dealt a severe blow to the so-called military superiority of the enemy. I have always had full faith in Pakistan’s armed forces, and their bravery has once again vindicated that belief, he said.

The President said that the high morale of the nation is today reviving our historical ideals, and faith in Allah has given us the strength to stand against a big enemy. He said that Pakistan moved ahead with responsibility and wisdom on every front.

He congratulated all the jawans, including the Army Chief, Naval Chief, and Air Chief, and said that their sacrifices and hard work paved the way for victory. Remembering the martyrs, the president said that the nation should rejoice but also pray for the martyrs.

President Asif Zardari also said that Pakistan wants peace but will not tolerate any kind of aggression. He said the resolution of disputes such as the Kashmir issue and the Indus basin were indispensable for the establishment of lasting peace in the region.

In the end, he thanked all the friendly countries, including China, the United States, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Iran, who fully supported Pakistan in this testing time.
