Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has once again offered talks to the opposition, saying that the government is ready for meaningful political dialogue. According to him, advancing national issues through talks can strengthen political and economic stability.

Addressing the federal cabinet meeting, the Prime Minister said that the government has already shown its willingness to hold talks in parliament and cabinet meetings. Now the opposition has to decide when it will come to the negotiating table.

Shehbaz Sharif said that the government has always prioritised dialogue. According to him, talks between political parties can help resolve differences in a democratic manner.

The Prime Minister also mentioned the significant reduction in diesel prices in the meeting. The government has reduced the price of high-speed diesel by Rs 32.63 per litre. The new price has been set at Rs 363.6 per litre.

On the other hand, the price of petrol has increased by Rs 2.97 per litre. After this, the new price of petrol has been fixed at Rs 337.51 per litre.

The Prime Minister said that the government has allocated Rs 128 billion to provide relief to the people in difficult circumstances. According to him, the impact of the situation arising in the global energy sector is also being felt in Pakistan.

Shehbaz Sharif appreciated the efforts of the Petroleum Ministry and said that Pakistan imports a large part of its energy needs. The closure of some refineries and gas plants in the region has also affected the energy situation.

Negotiations were also held with local refineries to reduce the recent diesel price. According to the government, the Prime Minister had directed the Petroleum Ministry to take immediate steps to provide possible relief to the people.
