Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif: People from Afghanistan involved in terrorism attempt, Pakistan will give a befitting reply

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, while addressing the National Assembly, has said that the terrorist attempt in Wana was foiled, elements from Afghanistan were also involved in the attack. He clarified that Pakistan has given a befitting reply to terrorists in the past and will take all possible steps to defend its territory in the future as well.

PM Shehbaz Sharif said that Pakistan wants peace and wants Afghanistan to also take practical steps against terrorists. He said that the recent visits of the Afghan Foreign Minister give new messages about relations with India, however, Pakistan wants peace and development in the region.

The Prime Minister said that Pakistan hosted the Afghan people for forty years, but recent incidents of terrorism have affected the peace of the region. He said that the entire nation is united against terrorists and will defend its sovereignty without any external pressure.
