PSX Suffers Massive Setback: 100 Index Plummets by 1,904 Points

The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) had a dramatic decline today, with the Benchmark 100 Index falling by an alarming 1,904 points and closing at 114,148 points. This big loss culminates an extremely turbulent trading session in which the 100 Index fluctuated within a 3,903-point range throughout the day.

During trading, deals for 1.9 billion shares worth a total of 32.46 billion rupees were made. The market capitalisation dropped sharply, too, by Rs 204 billion to end the day at Rs 14,316 billion.

This big drop shows that investors are feeling bad, which makes them worry about possible market risks.
