PTI announces nationwide Black Day, preparing for major protests after Friday

According to sources, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has decided to observe a “Black Day” across the country tomorrow against the 27th Constitutional Amendment. The party says that after Friday prayers, there will be protests in all constituencies of the country, where workers will record their displeasure by wearing black bands. Sources say that ticket holders and MPAs have also been instructed to lead the protests in their respective constituencies.

In this regard, a few days ago, the head of the Tehreek-e-Tahafuz-e-Ain Pakistan, Mahmood Khan Achakzai, had also reacted strongly to the issue of the 27th Amendment and announced that he would block the path of the government’s actions through public power. He said that a nationwide protest movement is being launched from Friday, which will be completely peaceful.

Mahmood Khan Achakzai further said that he is sending letters to the ambassadors of all friendly countries, in which the position will be expressed that respect for democracy and the public mandate should be the same for everyone. He said that Pakistan was achieved after great sacrifices, but today, according to the United Nations, 45 percent of the country’s population is living below the poverty line, which also requires the attention of the international community.
