PTI announces nationwide protest on February 8; names of provincial leaderships revealed

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has taken the final decision to hold protests across the country on February 8, for which the leadership and administrative strategy have been finalised at the provincial level.

According to party sources, a separate leadership has been appointed in each province for protest activities so that the protest can be carried forward in an organised and coordinated manner. Sources say that the responsibility of the protest in Punjab has been entrusted to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi.

According to party sources, Shahid Khattak will supervise the protest affairs in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, while the leadership of the protest in Balochistan has been entrusted to Mehmood Achakzai. Allama Raja Nasir Abbas will lead the PTI protests in Sindh.

According to sources, Sohail Afridi will finalise all administrative and political matters related to the protests during his recent visit to Sindh. The party leadership maintains that the aim of the protest on February 8 is to highlight the public voice in a peaceful manner.

According to political analysts, the announcement of a nationwide protest by the PTI may lead to a rise in political temperatures in the coming days, while the success of the protest will depend on organisational discipline and public participation.
